Professional Sewage
Backup Response
Sewage backups are among the most urgent property emergencies a homeowner can face. Unlike clean water damage, sewage is classified as Category 3 “black water” — water contaminated with pathogens including E. coli, salmonella, and other bacteria and viruses capable of causing serious illness. Every surface, material, and item that contacts sewage water must be treated as contaminated.
⚠ Important: Do not attempt to clean up sewage backup yourself. Without proper PPE, containment, and professional-grade disinfectants, you risk spreading contamination and exposing your family to serious health hazards. Call our team immediately.
Immediate Containment
Our first priority on arrival is containing the affected area to prevent cross-contamination of unaffected spaces. We establish containment barriers, set up negative air pressure where appropriate, and secure the zone before any extraction or cleaning begins.
Sewage Extraction & Removal
Using specialized extraction equipment and full personal protective equipment, our certified technicians remove all sewage water and solid waste from the affected area. All waste is removed and disposed of in compliance with California biohazard disposal regulations.
Demolition of Contaminated Materials
Porous materials that have contacted Category 3 sewage — drywall, insulation, carpet, pad, certain flooring types — cannot be decontaminated and must be removed. We carefully demo and properly dispose of all non-salvageable materials, documenting everything for your insurance claim.
Disinfection & Sanitization
All structural surfaces in the affected area are treated with EPA-registered hospital-grade disinfectants. We use multiple applications with appropriate dwell times to ensure complete pathogen elimination. Air scrubbers with HEPA filtration run throughout the process to capture airborne contaminants.
Structural Drying & Mold Prevention
After disinfection, affected structural materials are dried completely using commercial air movers and dehumidifiers. We monitor moisture levels throughout the drying period to ensure no residual moisture remains that could support mold growth in the restored structure.
Reconstruction
Once clearance is achieved, our in-house reconstruction team rebuilds affected areas to pre-loss condition — new drywall, insulation, flooring, and paint. Full documentation throughout supports your insurance claim from emergency response through final reconstruction.
